Tusheti

Tusheti - one of the fascinating mountainous provinces of Georgia is situated on the Northern slopes of the Eastern part of the Main Caucasian Mountain Range. Very few tourists have visited Tusheti due to its remoteness. Medieval villages Dartlo and Parsma are some of the undisputed highlights of Georgia.

The scenery is spectacular. The nature zones include dense forests, alpine meadows with endemic flowers and higher up there are snow capped mountains among which Diklo, Komito and Tebulo (4500m above sea level) are some of the highest summits of the Eastern Caucasus. The villages are nestled in deep valleys and are very picturesque with their stone architecture.

Day 1: Arrival. Meeting at Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Tusheti via Telavi, ascend to Omalo (2040 m above sea level). Overnight at family hotel.

Day 3: Visit to ancient archeological monuments and villages – Diklo, Dartlo, Shenakon, etc. Overnight at hotel in Omalo.

Day 4:  Drive back Tbilisi.

Day 5: Departure.
